Get Involved

We Welcome Parental Involvement!

We know that, as parents and guardians, you like to know what the children are doing during their time with us and we love helping you to get involved.

Below are a few ways you can take part in the activities at Belmont Playcare.

How You Can Get Involved

1. Fun Activities

Parents/Guardians who complete police and social services vetting forms can come in to help on a regular basis and staff will organise suitable dates and times.

Parents who wish to come into sessions for one off activities do not need vetted and will but will be closely monitored (mobile phones will not be permitted in the session and parents will NOT be given access to the children's toilets).

General activities include:

  • Reading a story
  • Playing some music or instruments at song time
  • Taking a cookery session
  • Taking an art session
  • Talking to the children about your job

2. Joining the Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is vital to the smooth running of Belmont Playcare and we welcome all interested parents to try for the roles. We hold monthly meetings (now being conducted via Zoom) and being on the board gives all parents a behind the scenes look at Belmont Playcare.

3. Help with Events

We work hard to make events for Belmont Playcare a fun experience and your support is always welcome. Whether you’re helping out at session parties or joining in on our fundraising events, we’d love to have you on board.

Calling All Belmont Playcare Parents – We Need You!

As parents and guardians, you are key to the smooth running of the playcare sessions! From bringing and collecting your child on time to keeping us up to date on any concerns, every little helps. Here are just a few ways you can help our staff:

  • Bringing and collecting your child promptly
  • Sending a coat etc. every day and clearly naming all clothing, especially uniform!
  • Keeping your child at home if they are unwell and unfit to attend
  • Encouraging independence at home with toileting, hand washing and putting on their own coat
  • Speaking to the leader promptly about any concerns you may have about your child or the playcare
  • Making comments and suggestions via our comments book or a staff member
  • Keeping us up to date regarding changes to emergency contact details, etc.
